Wood Cross tells the Story of Creation

The "Book of Genesis" tells the story of the creation of heaven and earth.

This cross has been hand cut on a scroll saw to tell the story of Creation. At the bottom of the cross notice God is creating heaven and earth with the sun, the moon and the stars. Then the gardens and the animals. At the top of the cross is Adam and Eve sitting beneath the Apple Tree.

I used Maple plywood for the backing which is accented with an espresso stain and the top portion of the Cross is made with natural maple plywood. After carefully gluing the pieces together I spray the cross with multiple coats of satin lacquer and attach a sawtooth hanger on the back.
